Governance information

The legal body responsible for the governance of St Paul's Church Bedford is the Parochial Church Council (The PCC). The PCC has the responsibility for cooperating with the
minister, in promoting, within the ecclesiastical parish, the whole mission of the Church 
pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. lt is also responsible for the maintenance of the
Parish Church, which is a Grade 1 listed building.

St Paul's is part of the Bedford Deanery in the Diocese of Saint Albans within the Church of England. The Parochial Church Council is registered with the Charity Commission and its registration number is 1134614

Tower Clock and Bells Faculty Application

NOTICE IS GIVEN that we are applying to the Consistory Court of the diocese for permission to carry out the following: Restoration of the tower, clock, and bells. Rehanging of the bells in a 14-bell frame on one level lower in the tower, restoration, relocation, and improvements to the clock and chiming mechanism, installation of sound control, and majorreordering of the ringing chamber, including safer access to upper levels of the tower.
