Safeguarding Information
Safeguarding is...
Safeguarding is about protecting vulnerable people, such as children, elderly people, and those with physical or mental disabilities, from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and harm. In the UK, it is a legal requirement for all healthcare, education, and social care settings to have safeguarding procedures in place. The Church of England requires all those who volunteer with children, young people and vulnerable adults to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and to complete regular safeguarding training.

As Christians, we believe that all people are made in God’s image, and so we do all we can to uphold human dignity. Jesus had special concern for vulnerable groups including children and those who were ill mentally or physically; as we follow his example, we do all we can to protect people from harm, so that they can flourish in our community.’

St Paul's Church is committed to the safeguarding, care and nurture of everyone within our community.
