Record breaking Christmas Tree Festival opens this week
The award winning Bedford Christmas Tree Festival, now in its 25th anniversary year, opens this Wednesday at 10.00am and runs every day until Sunday afternoon. The festival has become a must do in many peoples run-up to Christmas and this year is again bigger than ever with record numbers of trees and participating choirs from schools and local community groups. A cafe serving festive goodies is open throughout the event and a chance to win prizes in the raffle. Opening times

Extra bell-ringing this week
All 12 bells will be rung this Wednesday, December 3rd to mark the opening of this year's Christmas Tree Festival. The ring is scheduled to start at 10.00am and will last for about 30 minutes.

Confirmation service at St Paul's
On the evening of Sunday 23rd November, Bishop Rob Gillion, honorary assistant bishop in the Diocese of St Albans, joined us as seven members of our congregation, aged between 19 and 67, took the next step in their Christian faith and were confirmed. We were also joined by two candidates from St Andrews for what was an uplifting and joyful occasion on the Feast of Christ the King. We pray for Oli, Alex, Shayne, Emma, Clare, Garfield and Ruth as they continue in their journeys

High Sheriff of Bedfordshire's Justice Service
On 28th September, St Paul's welcomed the Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, the King's Remembrancer, members of the judiciary and other distinguished guests to the the annual High Sheriff's Justice service to pray for those who administer the law in this county. Extra Bellringing This Month
Friday 7th November - the bells will be rung up on the evening of Friday 7th November in preparation for ringing for Remembrance Sunday. This should take approximately ten minutes Sunday 9th November - the bells will be rung half muffled for Remembrance Sunday itself as we remember those who fought and died in two world wars and many conflicts since.
