One community, many faiths, one Walk for Peace

Walk for Peace - Saturday 12th September

Everyone is warmly invited to join the Walk for Peace on Saturday 12th September, from 1:30pm to 4:30pm, starting and finishing at St Paul’s Church, St Paul’s Square, Bedford.

The afternoon will begin with a welcome gathering at St Paul’s before participants walk together to visit places of worship and faith communities across Bedford, including the Bedford Central Jammee Masjid, the Ravidass Gurdwara, and the Hindu Temple. The walk will conclude with a time of reflection back at St Paul’s Church.

The Walk for Peace, organised by the Bedford Council of Faiths Interfaith Network, aims to promote unity, strengthen social cohesion, and celebrate the rich diversity of communities across Bedford. It is an opportunity to learn about different faith traditions, meet neighbours from across the town, and build friendships through shared conversation and understanding.

Our message is simple:

• Promoting Peace • Building Understanding • Strengthening Community

As we celebrate Bedford’s rich diversity and our shared commitment to peace, respect and friendship, everyone is welcome to take part and walk with us.

For more information about the organisers, visit the Bedford Council of Faiths Interfaith Network website.
