Tuesday Recital: Sandro Russo - Piano

Next week, Tuesday 15 July, is the final lunchtime recital of the summer term and we have a treat in store as we look forward to welcoming Sandro Russo as our recitalist to St Paul’s.

Sandro is a New York City-based concert pianist and Steinway Artist. Described as a ‘pianist’s pianist’ and acclaimed for his profound sense of poetry and distinctive style, Sandro Russo has been in demand as a soloist in many venues around the world. He has received accolades for his sparkling virtuosity, and his playing has often been referred to as a throwback to the grand tradition of elegant pianism and beautiful sound.

Sandro’s impressive concert programme for us features, among other works, Schumann’s Fantasy in C, described as one of the composer’s greatest works for solo piano.
