Tuesday Lunchtime Concerts

Music is a very important part of the life of St. Paul’s. For about twenty years, the church has run a regular lunchtime concert series. Originally, the concerts were set up to provide a platform of experience for local Bedford schools. Since then, they have evolved and now local schools, and more recently, individuals and group performers come from far and near. Concerts are always on Tuesdays and start at 1.10 pm for half to three quarters of an hour. It is an important part of the church’s outreach into the surrounding community and provides a haven of rest for shoppers and town employees alike.

There is no entrance charge, but we do ask for voluntary donations at the end of concerts. Half of this goes to a charity of the performers choice and half to the church. In this way, charity and church both benefit. Light lunches are available and people are welcome to eat their lunch while listening to the concert.

The next set of concerts are as follows.
